This 1600 sq ft house, built by artisan Greg Taylor, started out as a large gazebo in 1984 which included a shower, sink and a sleeping nook. Turned into a cabin in 1987 with chimney and water heater closet added. All T&G cedar interior and exterior. In 1991, part of the deck was enclosed to create a sunroom with spectacular cherry, oak, beech, woman's tongue, and other exotic accent woods. The next year, the laundry room and a bathroom were added. This bathroom has a tile shower and floor with cherry cabinets and shelves and oak/cherry trim. The upper part of the shower enclosure contains panels of black walnut, butternut, woman's tongue and apple woods. The original shower and sink area in the gazebo were converted to closets and the gazebo eventually became the master bedroom.

In 1993, the main two story addition was added. The kitchen has cherry cabinets and trim; the main living area has cherry trim with an exotic wood sunburst over the rock hearth with a poplar wood mantel. Two bedrooms, bathroom and hall closet upstairs. Poplar trim in upstairs hall, oak trim in one BR and spruce trim in the other BR. Upstairs bath - cherry, oak, Douglass fir.

Carpet - upstairs (except bath), LR, MBR
Tile - Downstairs bath and hallway
Linoleum - kitchen, laundry, upstairs bath

Most of the framing in the house is poplar, cut and milled from the property. All the cherry, oak, maple, hickory, sarvis, black walnut, poplar and white pine interior wood were also milled from the property.
